Shichinohe Castle Remains

It is said to have been built by Masamitsu Nanbu as the eighth stronghold of Nanbu.
In the northern compound, building remains of the main residential building in medieval times and the treasure house were found.
The castle was used as a magistrate’s office in recent times.
In 1941 it was designated as a Historic Site of the country. Currently part of the site is maintained and used as a town park.
